A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush
This was an amusing little book about two sorry Brits who trek off into the wilds of Afghanistan to visit Nuristan and climb mountains. Since they neither of them were mountain climbers in any sense of the word, it's hardly surprising that the whole thing is a bit of a flop. The book is filled with British humor (which one of my sisters excels in, so I liked it) and it doesn't take itself seriously at all. Overall, it's a pretty good travel book, if you don't think too hard about it.
